Summary: The Data Business Analyst role focuses on contributing to a leading Financial Services Consultancy in the UK, specifically within the wealth management sector. The position requires a blend of analytical skills and stakeholder management to address business and data requirements effectively. The role is hybrid, with a requirement to work on-site three days a week in London. This contract position is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand wealth management products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with investment vehicles, portfolio management, client onboarding, compliance, and reporting.
- Manage stakeholders by eliciting, documenting, and prioritising business and data requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather user needs and pain points.
- Analyse and interpret large datasets relevant to clients, portfolios, transactions, and market activity.
- Use data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate findings.
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Understand data flows between systems and business units, identifying gaps or inefficiencies.
- Apply data governance principles, including data ownership, stewardship, and lineage.
- Define and document data quality rules, monitor data quality, and implement remediation processes.
- Utilise SQL for querying datasets and validating business requirements.
