Summary: The Data Business Analyst role is a 6-month contract focused on enhancing data pipelines and supporting the development of a modern data warehouse solution. The position requires collaboration with data engineers and stakeholders to ensure data alignment with business needs. The analyst will document business requirements and ensure data quality and governance practices are followed. This hybrid role involves working onsite two days a week in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and refine data-related business requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and enhance data pipelines for efficient data movement and transformation.
• Support the development and optimization of a data warehouse, ensuring it meets reporting and analytics needs.
• Define and document data flows, data models, and business rules.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in existing data processes.
• Ensure data quality and governance best practices are adhered to.
• Support testing and validation of data solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business teams and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience as a Data Business Analyst in data-driven projects.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, such as dimensional modelling, star schema, and data marts.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze data.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platform GCP is a nice to have.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and best practices.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
