Summary: The Business Data Analyst role focuses on integrating new trading businesses into global operations, leveraging expertise in logical data modeling and process design within Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) systems. The position requires a deep understanding of market and credit risk analytics, as well as collaboration with various risk and valuation teams. The contract is set to begin immediately and will last until August 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the key Align ETRMs and their interaction with Risk systems.
• Demonstrate understanding of market risk analytics, including Value at Risk (VaR) and related reporting.
• Demonstrate understanding of credit risk analytics, including Potential Future Exposure (PFE) and credit value adjustment (CVA).
• Collaborate with Commercial, Credit, Market Risk, and Valuation teams on reporting and transformation projects.
• Link technical solutions with business requirements when working with partners.
• Capture business problems and functional/non-functional requirements accurately.
• Translate business requirements into functionality and assess risks and opportunities.
• Model processes and data flows to identify improvement opportunities.

Key Skills:

• Strong skills in logical data modeling and process design.
• Specialist knowledge in Energy trading risk management systems (ideally Aligne / FIS).
• In-depth understanding of market and credit risk analytics.
• Ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in capturing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
