Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply data analysis skills through hands-on experience and training.

Your Role: As a Data Audience Apprentice you will learn both in role and through our apprentice training provider, studying towards your level 4 Data Analyst Apprentice qualification. You will dive into the exciting world of Data and MarTech, learning to leverage data and cutting-edge platforms like Hightouch and Adobe Campaign to build unique audience segments that power real-world marketing campaigns; you will become a technical expert by developing platform integration skills, troubleshooting complex data flows, and acting as a vital link between business goals and technical innovation through developing Proof of Concepts and essential documentation, launching your career at the intersection of data and technology.
Day to day: Learn, Own, and Innovate This is a hands-on role where you will quickly gain responsibility and become an expert in our technology stack.
- Learn to Become an Audience Architect: You will train to use our cutting-edge technology to shape and deploy unique audience segments, directly influencing major marketing campaigns and driving massive business impact.
- Assist in Campaign Activation: Work closely with the Audience team to support the activation of validated customer groups into major marketing platforms, gaining hands-on experience in how communications are brought to life.
- Be a Data Detective (The Integrity Mission): You will master the art of high-stakes data validation and integrity, assisting in systematic checks to ensure the information we use for commercial activation is rock-solid and ready for action.
- Help Keep the Tech Ecosystem Flowing: Develop a foundational knowledge of our MarTech platform architecture, assisting in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of technical and data-related issues. You will be learning valuable problem-solving skills to maintain system integrity and help keep the lights on (and make them brighter!).
- Pioneer with Proof of Concepts (POCs): You'll support the development of technical POCs for game-changing projects. This is your chance to bridge business requirements with technical feasibility, learning how to turn exciting ideas into reality for our marketing teams.
- Futureproof Our Knowledge: Create engaging and clear documentation, user guides, and best-practice materials, ensuring teams across the business understand and can effectively use our data and technology to make smarter decisions.
- Act as a Critical Tech Bridge: Learn the fundamentals of consulting by assisting stakeholders across the business. You will use your developing technical expertise to propose and deliver smart data solutions that unlock incremental value from our entire technology ecosystem.
What we’re looking for from you:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4 (equivalent to a C) or above
- A keen interest in data, marketing and the media industry
- The energy & enthusiasm needed to quickly learn about News UK as a business, our products and our culture.
- An analytical approach and the ability to quickly learn to use data audience and marketing and analytics tools.
- An eye for accuracy, a curious mindset and a can-do attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of using Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs and Powerpoint/Google Slides.
