Data Architect (Principal Analyst)

Summary: The Data Architect role is a 4-month contract position focused on leading data architecture to support the organisational strategy for 2023-2026 and the national Digital Health and Care Strategy. The successful candidate will oversee best practices in data architecture, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient data systems. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance data delivery and maintain comprehensive documentation. The role is deemed Inside IR35 and is hybrid based in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and direction across a range of domains, establishing and maintaining data architecture best practices and culture across agile delivery teams.
• Translate strategic aims and outcomes to local delivery plans, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
• Collaborate and problem-solve with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure maximum value delivery and alignment of data architecture with business objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, data models, and data flow diagrams, including metadata, data lineage, data dictionaries, and a catalogue of data.
• Facilitate negotiations with individuals within educational and health care institutions, government bodies, and social care to ensure high standards in initiative delivery.
