Data Architect (Principal Analyst)

Summary: The Data Architect role is a 4-month contract position focused on leading data architecture to support the delivery of the organisational strategy and national Digital Health and Care Strategy. The successful candidate will oversee best practices, ensure data systems are secure and efficient, and collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with business objectives. This position requires a high level of technical leadership and the ability to translate strategic aims into actionable plans. The role is hybrid and based in Scotland, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and direction across a range of domains, establishing and maintaining data architecture best practices and culture across agile delivery teams.
• Translate strategic aims and outcomes to local delivery plans, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
• Collaborate and problem-solve with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure maximum value delivery and alignment of data architecture with business objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, data models, and data flow diagrams for easy understanding and future reference.
• Facilitate negotiations with individuals within educational and health care institutions, government bodies, and social care to ensure high standards in initiative delivery.
