Summary: Our client, a Local Government entity, is looking for an experienced Data Architect to aid in transforming the Town Planning department. The role involves understanding current workflows, designing data models, and ensuring alignment between data architecture and business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling and stakeholder engagement. This position is critical for enhancing the efficiency of the planning system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Immerse yourself in the Town Planning department to understand current workflows and data usage.
- Reverse engineer the As-Is physical data model of the planning system.
- Design the To-Be conceptual and physical data models that reflect ideal organisational processes.
- Develop a comprehensive data dictionary/catalogue.
- Map data integration points and data flows across systems.
- Document data lineage and support the implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between data architecture and business needs.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in data modelling (dimensional, data vault).
- Strong understanding of system integration and data flow mapping.
- Experience with business process mapping and aligning data models to organisational workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
