Summary: The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Data Architect for a hybrid role until June 2025. The position focuses on enhancing data architecture and analytics to support the Ministry's goals of improving public safety and reducing reoffending. Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance and preference may be given to those with active security clearance. The role is strictly limited to candidates working within the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement data flows to connect operational systems, analytics platforms, and business intelligence (BI) systems.
- Document source-to-target mappings and define data architecture.
- Write ETL (extract, transform, load) scripts and code to ensure optimal ETL performance.
- Develop reusable business intelligence reports and dashboards.
- Build accessible and governed data solutions for analysis.
- Recognise opportunities to reuse existing data flows and optimise processes.
- Lead the implementation of data streaming solutions and best practices.
- Lead work on database management, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data architecture and data flow implementation.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and scripting.
- Ability to develop business intelligence reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of data governance and accessibility standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
