Summary: The GCP Data Architect role is a 3-month contract position focused on leading architectural strategy and innovation within a cloud data ecosystem for a GlobalLogic client. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to transform data solutions and guide teams on best practices. This hybrid role requires collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to implement scalable data architectures. The position is based in Manchester, requiring two days of onsite work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural direction across major data initiatives, ensuring scalable and future-ready designs.
- Guide teams on migrations, integrations, and advanced GCP capabilities.
- Take ownership of the current GCP data landscape and lead its transformation into a streamlined, high-performance environment.
- Drive adoption and best practice use of tools like BigQuery and Dataform.
- Define and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, contributing to a reusable, scalable data integration framework.
- Work closely with business and tech stakeholders to turn complex needs into elegant, practical architecture.
