Summary: The role of Data Architect involves designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform for a Microsoft Partner Consultancy. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement data architecture solutions leveraging Azure Data Services.
- Define data models, integration patterns, and governance frameworks aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to assess business needs and translate them into technical designs.
- Lead architecture reviews, ensure scalability, security, and cost optimization across data platforms.
- Guide and mentor data engineers and developers through design and implementation phases.
- Contribute to data strategy, roadmap planning, and architectural standards for client projects.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance regulations.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong technical expertise across the Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL DB, Data Lake, Databricks, and Power BI.
- Experience designing data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, metadata management, and data governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
