Summary: The Finance Regulatory Specialist role involves managing technology spend within the Projects team, focusing on regulatory capital and financial reporting initiatives. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and effective governance of data feeds. The role is temporary, lasting 12 months, and is situated within a leading global financial services firm. Candidates should possess relevant experience in regulatory reporting and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Project squads to identify new feed and feed change requirements across multiple product classes for governance.
  • Creation and maintenance of Regulatory Reporting feed data records, detailing feed metadata and associated controls.
  • Production of Feed governance approval materials for approval meetings.
  • Ensure approved feed metadata flow through appropriate systems (e.g. Metacentre, Collibra).
  • Support external regulator exam preparation.
  • Support fleet implementation of BCBS239 principles (focusing on governance and data lineage).
  • Partner with controller teams and IT to ensure relevant data controls and flows are captured and documented.
  • Develop collaborative relationships working across different departments and regions.
  • Take part in Squad/Fleet Agile ceremonies providing updates and reporting for stakeholders and Senior Management.
  • Issue Management managing, monitoring, and reporting on Finance data issues.

Key Skills:

  • 3 – 6 years’ experience of Regulatory Reporting projects such as Finrep/CoRep preferred.
  • Understanding and experience of good governance, preferably data governance.
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking business and related products.
  • Knowledge of traditional Project Management approaches.
  • Knowledge and application of BCBS239 principles.
  • Agile experience within a squad/Fleet.
  • Experience with metadata management tooling beneficial (e.g.: Metacentre, Collibra).
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and documentation skills.
  • Experienced in implementing change effectively to improve existing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office and project management tools (Excel, Project, Vision).
  • Experience of investigating, summarizing, and presenting results to clients and Senior Management.
  • Confident and adaptable.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Team worker and well organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
