Summary: The Data Analytics Consultant/Data Analyst role focuses on providing analytical support within the Payments sector, utilizing skills in SQL, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Python, and R. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the development of statistical insights and reports
  • Apply appropriate techniques to provide insight into payments data, and support others in applying them
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance
  • Engage with stakeholders and share statistical and analytical techniques to increase understanding and trust
  • Listen to and interpret the needs of technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage their expectations
  • Support and host discussions within a multidisciplinary team
  • Manage differing stakeholder perspectives
  • Execute department initiatives and ensure processes and projects are well documented to meet auditing requirements
  • Could have additional responsibilities for planning, directing, and coordinating activities cross functionally

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of the payment ecosystem and messages, preferably from a scheme background
  • Strong SQL and data visualisation experience (Tableau a particular plus); R and/or Python experience would be beneficial
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Good knowledge of MS Office package eg PowerPoint, Word - advanced Excel knowledge required
  • Natural relationship builder able to proficiently set and maintain great relationships with a portfolio of clients and multiple internal stakeholders
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Payments, Technology or Operations

Data Analytics Consultant/Data Analyst - Payments (SQL, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Python, R, Data Visualisation, Actionable Insights) - London and Remote - 12 months +

One of our major clients is looking for a Data Analytics Consultant/Data Analyst (SQL, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Python, R, Data Visualisation, Actionable Insights). Experience in the Payments sector is preferred.

Role is Hybrid - London & Remote.

Must be PAYE via an umbrella - Inside IR35.

Details:

The Team is responsible for understanding and fixing technical problems raised during payment checkout at POS terminals and E-commerce websites.

The Analytics Lead is accountable for working with internal clients and providing data and analysis support to support remediation of technical acceptance issues by implementing strategies and reporting to translate raw data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has strong logical reasoning skills and extended experience in payments analytics. The ability to communicate effectively to different stakeholder groups is essential.
