Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst (SFIA Level 4) to support a major Health sector programme within Public Sector, working across a range of cross-cutting products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and connecting data sources across complex environments to enable informed decision-making and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and understand existing data assets across multiple health products and services.
- Identify where data resides across disparate systems and establish relationships between datasets.
- Create logical data mappings and linkages to support reporting and analytical requirements.
- Conduct data discovery activities to assess data availability, quality, and suitability.
- Perform data mining where data sources are incomplete or unavailable.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical specialists to define data requirements.
- Develop data models, data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
- Validate data quality and identify opportunities for data improvement.
- Produce meaningful insights and recommendations from complex datasets.
- Support wider transformation and service improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.
- Present findings and visualisations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance.
- Proven experience operating at SFIA Level 4 Data Analyst capability.
- Strong experience analysing and interpreting data from multiple systems and sources.
- Demonstrable experience creating links and relationships across disparate datasets.
- Experience undertaking data mining and exploratory analysis where structured data is limited.
- Strong SQL and data querying skills.
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Ability to assess and improve data quality.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience documenting data structures, mappings, and data flows.
- Previous Public Sector or Government experience
