Data Analyst/Scientist - Social Media Data & Analytics
6-Month Contract | Hybrid | 3 Days On-Site
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join a growing analytics team supporting a new, high-profile data project focused on social media usage and behavioural patterns.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data professional with experience working with social media or behavioural data who enjoys working with complex datasets and turning them into meaningful, evidence-based insights.
You'll be joining an established team of analysts and working closely with stakeholders, data product specialists and BI professionals to help develop and analyse new data products.
The Role
The project will involve analysing detailed social media usage data, including information such as login activity, frequency and patterns of use, and user behaviours.
You will work with data collected from individuals and/or third parties, combining and analysing different sources to help identify meaningful behavioural patterns and indicators.
The work will involve handling complex datasets and joining information across different sources, with a particular focus on understanding social media usage and its relationship with wider outcomes.
This is an analytical role rather than a pure Data Science position, although experience working in analytics, machine learning or data science environments would be highly valuable.
What You'll Be Doing
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends and relationships.
- Work with social media and behavioural data to understand user activity and engagement.
- Extract, clean, transform and join data from multiple sources.
- Develop analytical approaches to assess behavioural patterns and indicators.
- Use SQL, Python and Databricks to manipulate and analyse data.
- Apply analytical and statistical techniques to support project objectives.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Communicate findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical
