Summary: We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a major Underwriting transformation programme in London. The role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance the data landscape and improve operational processes. This position is initially for 6 months with the potential for long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in the London Markets sector and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep insight into the current-state data environment, including data sources, definitions, quality, and usage
- Partner with the Data Architect to design the target data structure and governance framework
- Work closely with the Opex team to support process improvement and transformation using robust data models, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation
- Map data across systems, particularly where naming conventions and structures differ
- Build and maintain a comprehensive programme-wide data dictionary
- Understand and document schemas and demonstrate how they interact across platforms
- Investigate and address known gaps in existing capabilities, especially across ETL processes and cross-system data consistency
Key Skills:
- Strong experience working with complex data landscapes
- Experience of working within the London Markets sector is essential
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills
- Proven SQL skills
- Familiarity with data modelling, lineage tracing, and data governance principles
- Experience with ETL processes and cross-system data mapping

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join a major Underwriting (UW) transformation programme. Working closely with programme leadership, data architects, and the Opex team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future-state data landscape and improving data-driven operational processes.
