Summary: My client in Greater London is seeking a Data Analyst on a contract basis to support the Programme Director and Programme Manager in delivering the organization's new operating model. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying analytical skills to provide actionable insights, and preparing reports and dashboards. Candidates should have extensive experience in a similar role, particularly within local government or public services, and be proficient in programming and BI tools. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional corporate and service directorate teams to support engagement and project delivery.
- Apply analytical skills to deliver objective, impactful, and actionable insights.
- Prepare dashboards, presentations, and reports to effectively communicate insights.
- Provide subject matter expertise coaching and support to non-technical colleagues.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in a similar role.
- Experience in an analytical role in local government and/or public services.
- Knowledge of data systems and processes, and familiarity with local government datasets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R/Python and querying languages such as SQL.
- Experience with standard BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Local Authority experience is essential.
