  • Demonstrable data mapping skills and proficiency in spreadsheet software.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role Data Analyst – IRR.

Role description: The role supports the Data Management and Governance workstream on a new programme which is being mobilised. The roleholder will be expected to have substantial business and data analysis backround and will work closely with the Project Manager and business teams to review and document data compliance processes for multiple regulatory reporting exercises. The role will also involve data analysis and data mappings tasks. Initial training will be provided however the roleholder will need to work independently without close supervision and will be expected to exercise initiative and judgement while following the project lifecycle process. The role will involve exposure to senior business managers and a variety of other stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Data Analysis Support the Workstream Lead in Data Quality investigations, root core analysis and liason with upstream and downstream data owners and other tasks as directed by the Workstream Lead
  • Perform a review of existing data compliance steps across all Core Processes and contribute to creating a “systems landscape”
  • Help implement compliance for each Core Process, prioritising templates / core processes containing critical data elements and most critical to successful reporting or for remediation of relevant DQ issues
  • Determine and implement an operating model / policy to track and maintain compliance going forward.
  • Complete internal compliance submission using internal process steps
  • Provide a link between the workstream team and the data and reporting business teams to ensure consistency of approach and efficient cross-workstream communication
  • Engagement and support of additional stakeholders who may need to contribute to the overall project deliverables
  • Undertaking data analysis tasks to establish reasons for data and process gaps, help with data and ouputs reconciliation
  • Support the business process analysts to map out the data compliance steps from a process perspective
  • Training and Support Participate in preparation and execution of user training
  • Support the project manager with risk identification, risk reporting and project risks mitigation
  • Facilitate conversations with external vendors and service providers
  • Contribute to impact assessment activities and work effort assessments

Knowledge and experience:

  • Strong business and data analysis background and experience in similar roles (a minimum of 7 years’ prior experience)
  • Proven record of supporting data quality and/or data compliance activities, requirement documentation, stakeholder engagement and project work
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrable data mapping skills / proficiency in spreadsheet software, ability to create and maintain data dictionaries and other data-related project artefacts
  • Ability to document and communicate concepts, flows, designs in a clear and concise fashion
  • Working knowledge of a visual modelling language or an established documentation notation
  • Some knowledge of a database query language
  • Previous work on finance projects (however candidates without financial sector experience but with other relevant skills will be considered)
  • Ability to work with demanding business stakeholders
