Summary: The Data Analyst role focuses on supporting the technology and integrations team within the investment management arm of a leading insurance and financial services group. The position involves managing data integration processes, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance data flows and systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage data integration processes between legacy systems and new strategic solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize data flows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with IT, development teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data integration processes, data flows, and system interfaces.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues promptly to minimise disruptions.
  • Define and manage test strategies, including the creation of test plans and scripts, coordinating integration activities, and ensuring comprehensive requirements traceability.
  • Document the current state, propose outcomes, and contribute to the design of target data models that support new platforms and processes.

Key Skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or System Analyst within investment management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex data interrogations using SQL.
  • Hands-on proficiency with ETL tools, data warehousing concepts, legacy systems, and modern data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Order Management Systems such as Bloomberg, Charles River or Aladdin.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and web services.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
