Summary: The Data Analyst (Internal Audit) role involves supporting analytics activities within a globally renowned bank, working closely with senior data team members and audit leads. Key Responsibilities:
- Support analytics on various activities within the bank.
- Work under the guidance of senior data team members and audit leads.
- Elicit objectives of testing/monitoring from the requesting team.
- Design specific analytics dashboards or outputs.
- Refine parameters and communicate results.
- Document processes undertaken.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of internal audit principles and processes or data risk/regulatory compliance.
- Experience handling sensitive data.
- Good understanding of data and mechanisms for data extraction.
- Technical capability in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
- Some programming experience with Python.
- Exposure to ETL/API connectivity.
- Desirable experience with Alteryx, Databricks, or data warehouses/lakes.

Your new role
You will be supporting analytics on a range of activities within this global bank. This will involve working under the guidance of senior data team members and/ audit leads. You will elicit objectives of the testing/monitoring being undertaken by the requesting team, design specific analytics dashboards or outputs, refine parameters, communicate the results, and document the processes undertaken.
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge of internal audit principles and processes or data risk/ regulatory compliance - experience working/ handling of sensitive data. Good understanding of Data and mechanism of it being pulled. Experience within financial services (e.g. Corporate & Investment Banking) advantageous. Technical capability across: SQL and relational databases - can query and write scripts from. Experience with data visualisation tools for reporting and dashboard creation with Power Bi. Some programming experience with Python. ETL / API connectivity exposure. Desirable*- Alteryx, databricks or data warehouse, lakes exposure/ experience nice to have.
