Summary: The Data Analyst role within a globally renowned bank focuses on supporting analytics for various activities, working closely with senior data team members and audit leads. Responsibilities include designing analytics dashboards, refining parameters, and documenting processes. The position requires knowledge of internal audit principles and experience in financial services, particularly in Corporate & Investment Banking. Technical skills in SQL, data visualization tools, and some programming experience with Python are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support analytics on a range of activities within the global bank.
- Work under the guidance of senior data team members and audit leads.
- Elicit objectives of testing/monitoring from the requesting team.
- Design specific analytics dashboards or outputs.

Key Skills:
- Knowledge of internal audit principles and processes.
- Experience within financial services, particularly Corporate & Investment Banking.
- Technical capability in SQL and relational databases.

- Some programming experience with Python.
- Desirable experience with Alteryx, Databricks, or data warehouses/lakes.

What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge of internal audit principles and processes.
Experience within financial services (e.g. Corporate & Investment Banking) advantageous.
Technical capability across:
SQL and relational databases - can query and write scripts from
Experience with data visualisation tools for reporting and dashboard creation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Some programming experience with Python.
Desirable*-Alteryx, databricks or data warehouse, lakes exposure/ experience nice to have.
