Summary: The role of Data Analyst in the insurance sector requires expertise in Excel, Macros, and VBA to support financial reporting and process automation. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide data-driven insights to improve financial reporting (internal and external).
- Engage with stakeholders effectively to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Automate processes to enhance efficiency in reporting and analytics.
- Ensure compliance with insurance-specific regulations, particularly IFRS17.
- Conduct detailed analytics, including performance attribution.
- Work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, being on-site three days a week.

My client is an International Insurer who require an Insurance specific Data Analyst, with strong Excel (Macros) and VBA skills to play a key role in Financial Reporting, along with experience in Process Automation, Insurance specific Regulation knowledge (IFRS17), both internal and external Reporting expertise, plus ability to provide detailed Analytics such as performance attribution.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst heavily focused on the Insurance industry
- Strong technical Microsoft Excel (Macros) and VBA skills, and ability to provide detailed Analytics such as performance attribution
- Experience of providing data-driven insights to improve working on Financial Reporting (internal and external)
- Demonstrable experience of Process Automation
- Insurance specific Regulation knowledge (IFRS17)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Flexible approach towards hybrid working (must be able to be on-site 3 days per week, including a Monday or Friday)
Nice to have:
- Experience of working on major Technology Transformational Programmes
- Understanding of internal Insurance processes and functions such as Actuaries, Insurance/Investment accounting and Third-Party Capital
- Working knowledge of Reinsurance
