Summary: The Data Analyst role involves developing and implementing data management solutions to enhance user experience and support decision-making within a large organization. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a focus on data governance and quality. Experience with SAP data models is essential for success in this role. The analyst will also contribute to improving financial data management capabilities and user enablement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop customer journey/user centric data management solutions that are adopted by business users in a large complex organisation.
- Design and set up data governance policies and/or standards along with data quality guidelines or training to enable data reporting to be improved.
- Support the implementation of the data management solutions taking into account user experience through the complete project lifecycle and aftercare.
- Work with Reporting Developers and Data Engineers to help build technology solutions.
- Feed into communications and change plans and translating that empathetically into key stakeholder workshops and interactions during a period of cultural, process and technology change.
- Align with the project vision influencing senior stakeholders and driving engagement up to the executive level.
- Support proposal of any required changes to existing business processes to improve financial data management capabilities and user enablement.
- Enhancement of reporting tools being developed by the project by establishing business rules and metrics in order to measure, monitor and improve the utility of report data.
- Implementation and reinforcement of data related roles & responsibilities to ensure clarity over accountability for data accuracy and integrity.
- Compile and socialise data policy documents, leveraging and building on current initiatives and ways of working.
- Identification and documentation of report specific quality issues that prevent effective use of financial reports and manage associated data remediation plans.
Key Skills:
- Experience with SAP data models.
