Summary: The Data Analyst role involves supporting the ETL process development and enhancing data hygiene within a global security solutions organization. The position requires analyzing data to improve reporting systems and collaborating with operational leaders to drive performance and meet contractual requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous development of a Data Warehouse and provide insights to decision-makers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse data and prepare reports to guide ETL process improvement with a focus on reducing technical debt and enhancing automation and data hygiene.
  • Support the Data Strategy Manager in developing a Data Warehouse and Framework for current contracts and future business readiness.
  • Conduct analysis to evaluate the success and effectiveness of key programmes and initiatives.
  • Support achievement of contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operational Leaders to support reporting systems and monitor improvement initiatives.
  • Assist the Data Strategy Manager in client-facing calls requiring technical detail.
  • Interpret data, analyse results, and provide ongoing reports and high-level data insights to decision-makers.
  • Work with colleagues to identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Support colleagues in using and interpreting operational systems and reports correctly.
  • Ensure complete documentation of all Data Team processes, activities, and projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Data Strategy, Data Quality, and technical excellence of the business.
  • Produce reports and analysis to meet deadlines set by the Line Manager.
  • Align with business objectives and Data Strategy.
  • Adhere to and inform the Data Governance Policy and compliance standards.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Power BI with experience in creating interactive dashboards.
  • Experience with ETL processes, particularly in reducing technical debt.
  • Familiarity with Looker and GCP tools (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Data Fusion, Cloud Composer) is a plus.
  • Understanding of statistical methods and their applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for turning data into impactful stories.
