Summary: The Data Analyst role involves supporting the delivery of data-driven insights and reporting by analyzing large datasets, building data models, and developing dashboards. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions while ensuring data quality and accuracy. This is a 6-month contract based in Manchester with a focus on onsite work three days a week. The role is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and insights
- Design and develop data models to support reporting and analytics
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business users
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions
- Support data integration and storage using Microsoft Fabric or other data lake platforms
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across reporting outputs
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in data analysis and data modelling
- Proven track record using Power BI for reporting and visualisation
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or similar data lake/data platform technologies
- Solid understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and data pipelines
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong experience in data analysis and data modelling
- Proven track record using Power BI, SQL & DAX for reporting and visualisation
- Desirable: Experience working in a cloud-based data environment (Azure preferred)
- Desirable: Experience working in fast-paced delivery environments
Salary (Rate): £450 daily
