Summary: The role of Data Analyst involves joining a leading digital product team in Manchester on a hybrid contract basis for six months. Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing the end-to-end user journey through an in-app funnel
- Designing and validating tracking strategies across the funnel
- Optimising conversion rates through insight and experimentation
- Working closely with Product and Engineering to advise on what and how to track
- Operating in a fast-moving environment where documentation is still evolving
- Supporting experimentation by ensuring tracking is correctly implemented
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst
- Strong business and product acumen - comfortable consulting with product teams
- Proven experience in funnel analysis and optimisation
- Strong SQL (essential)
- Python (nice to have)
- Experience with tracking implementation (web/app)
- Solid understanding of event tracking, funnels and experimentation
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar data warehouses is desirable
- Knowledge of database design/data warehousing and Tableau is a plus

We're working with a leading digital product team who are looking for a mid-level Data Analyst to join them on a contract basis. This role is embedded within a single product team and plays a key part in shaping how data is used at the very start of a product lifecycle.
You'll be embedded within the product team, working closely with Engineers and a Product Manager on a key initiative focused on optimising a new in-app funnel. The goal is simple but impactful: increase user conversion and engagement.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role where you'll help define what 'good tracking' looks like, challenge assumptions and ensure the right data is in place to measure what's working.
