Summary: The Senior Data Analyst role involves building and shaping the data capability of a retail and hospitality business, working closely with senior leadership to enhance commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop customer segmentation
- Analyse sales performance, including pipeline conversion, sales velocity and lead source effectiveness
- Establish consistent revenue definitions and reporting standards across multiple systems and business units
- Produce weekly executive trading reports and commercial performance dashboards
- Partner with Finance, Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality and commercial decision-making across the business
- Help shape the organisation's future data and reporting capability as its first dedicated data specialist
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial analytics experience, ideally within hospitality, retail or another customer-centric business
- Excellent SQL and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with customer segmentation, CRM analytics and/or sales pipeline analysis
- A proven ability to communicate insights to senior leadership and influence commercial decisions
- Experience working with property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale systems or comparable operational platforms
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work in an evolving environment

I'm partnering with a customer-focused retail and hospitality business that is looking to hire its first dedicated Senior Data Analyst. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the organisation's data capability from the ground up, working directly with the senior leadership team to drive commercial decision-making across the business. Initially, you'll work with data extracted from property management, point-of-sale and booking systems, developing reporting and analytics while laying the foundations for a scalable reporting environment.

About You
You'll be an experienced Senior Data Analyst who is comfortable operating independently, engaging with senior stakeholders and translating complex data into clear commercial recommendations. You'll ideally have:
- Strong commercial analytics experience, ideally within hospitality, retail or another customer-centric business.
- Excellent SQL and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with customer segmentation, CRM analytics and/or sales pipeline analysis.
