Summary: The role of Analytics Engineer/Data Analyst involves a 3-month contract focused on a major data migration project within the wellness industry. The position is fully remote with occasional visits to the London office, requiring expertise in business intelligence tools and data modelling, particularly with Looker. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data insights and ensure effective dashboard performance. This role offers a competitive daily rate and operates outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Redesign and optimize a Looker instance for data migration.
- Rebuild dashboards in Looker and ensure optimal data model performance.
- Gather data insights and translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage the BI migration lifecycle.
- Restructure data models and dashboards using LookML and DBT.
- Support clean, reliable insights through effective data pipelines.
Key Skills:
- Strong SQL skills with experience in data transformation and query performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
- Extensive experience with Looker and LookML, including dashboard development and data modelling.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Previous experience working on business intelligence (BI) migration or redesign projects.
- Ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with modern data stacks in cloud-based environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities in a contract-based role.
