Data Analyst

Summary: The Data Analyst role involves supporting a high-profile public sector transformation programme by delivering data-led insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position requires preparing reports and dashboards for various stakeholders and coaching non-technical colleagues on data interpretation. This contract role is hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days per week in the office, and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver data-led insights to support the design and implementation of new operating models
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive informed decision-making
• Prepare dashboards, presentations, and reports for a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Coach non-technical colleagues on data use and interpretation
• Support the development of internal data capability and analytics maturity

Key Skills:

• Strong background in data analysis within local government or public services
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI or Tableau, and preferably Python or R
• Understanding of public sector data systems, governance, and local government datasets
• Ability to communicate complex data clearly and effectively
• Comfortable working across multiple projects in a collaborative environment
