Summary: The Data Analyst role in Leeds involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze data, providing insights through reports and dashboards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team to understand and analyse business needs.
  • Manage new data projects from end-to-end, gathering requirements through to developing and implementing new reports.
  • Engage with stakeholders to validate their requirements, review policies/procedures and present solution options.
  • Extract, prepare and collate raw data from multiple sources and provide analysis to produce customised reports and insights.
  • Design and implement surveys across the organisation and analyse survey outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret data to assist in providing solutions for improved service delivery/performance.
  • Recognise erroneous data and escalate to the appropriate individual.
  • Monitor and assist in audits for data quality, integrity, and governance.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using reporting tools, including Excel and Power BI.
  • Support colleagues in building and improving data dashboards and visualisations.
  • Provide sector benchmarking through analysis of NSS, TEF, and Graduate Outcome Surveys.
  • Connect with colleagues to share good practices in data capture and analysis.
  • Maintain understanding of relevant policy and legislation regarding information governance and compliance.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience of data analysis.
  • Detailed knowledge of statistical techniques and research methodologies.
  • Experience in presenting data via interactive dashboards or presentations.
  • Must have used Power BI or Tableau for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Experience with R/Python/SPSS or SQL is advantageous.
  • Confidence in building relationships with stakeholders and communicating complex data simply.
  • Excellent knowledge of analytical tools including Microsoft Power BI.
  • Good understanding of data and model design.
  • Evidence of effectively prioritising tasks and managing deadlines.

Data Analyst Leeds (Onsite) Up to £39,000 + Benefits

Your new role

Working with internal stakeholders, you will use your expertise to gather existing and/or new data and undertake analysis to provide data insights across the org. Applying appropriate analytical techniques, you will present your findings appropriately through written reports or through intuitive, self-serve dashboards that will empower colleagues to understand the key metrics that drive performance throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, prepare and collate raw data from multiple sources and provide analysing and manipulating data to produce customised reports and insights.
  • Lead and/or work within a team to design and implement surveys across the organisation, analysis of survey outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret data to assist in providing solutions to deliver improved service delivery/performance and an optimal student experience.
  • Recognise erroneous data and escalate to the appropriate individual in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor and assist in audits for data quality, data integrity and data governance.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using appropriate reporting tools, including Excel and Power BI.
