Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard data management tasks using established procedures.

  • Collaborate with feature teams to build data sets and answer commercial questions.
  • Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and visualizations for decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all analyses and reports.

Key Skills:

  • Low code PowerBI and/or Tableau skills.
  • Strong data visualization capability.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to seek out new data sources and innovate data manipulation approaches.

Data Analyst – Modern Workplace Leeds – hybrid 6 month contract Inside ir35

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in interpreting complex data and managing the efficient and effective production of high-quality information, analysis, and research. Your insights will help anticipate and meet stakeholder needs.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Modern Workplace Platform are looking for a Data Analyst to join us to work on initiatives that meet what matter to our colleagues. We work with colleagues across Modern Workplace and the wider bank to see how we can bring end to end design thinking to our products and services. We use customer research and data to help drive outcomes that will be beneficial for colleagues with designs that can be understood, are simple and accessible.

You'd be using analytical tools and techniques to analyse the wealth of data available to deliver action orientated insight across our Products. You'll focus on the following areas:

  • Performing standard data management tasks to support others by using established procedures.
  • Performing data deep dives and extraction from numerous structured and unstructured data sources to support insights and recommendations.
  • Reviewing, interpreting and challenging data to generate understanding of key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Working within various feature teams to build out your data sets and deliver the answers to key commercial questions.
  • Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and security in all analyses and report.

About you:

You'll be curious about research and design / want to make a difference for colleagues and possess a passion for learning. Passionate about both data/insight and storytelling with an aptitude for solving problems through data. You'll also need a mix of communication skills: influencing and working effectively with technical and non-technical audiences - asking intelligent questions and producing intuitive visuals to tell a story. And you’ll have the imagination we actively encourage and seek to bring innovative and agile approaches to the way we do things.

You may have the following experience:

  • Low code PowerBI and / or Tableau skills
  • Strong data visualisation capability, and the ability to identify the right method of communicating your findings according to your audience
  • Proficiency in coding with SQL and other scripting languages such as Python

What’s more you’ll need to evidence your ability to seek out new sources of data and show innovative approaches to manipulating effectively as part of a bigger picture.
