Summary: The Data Analyst role is focused on supporting a critical analytics and data science program by bridging the gap between business users, data science teams, and technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for data preparation, pipeline development, and analytics delivery, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into actionable data solutions. This position requires collaboration with various teams to integrate data science outputs into business processes. The contract duration is expected to be between 3 to 6 months, with an ASAP start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, prepare, verify, and validate data in line with business requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient data pipelines across multiple systems.
- Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and data science teams.
- Support end-to-end analytics project delivery, including requirements gathering, testing, and final delivery.
- Act as an internal analytics consultant, advising on data sources, structures, limitations, and best-practice usage.
- Work with data scientists on the design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions.
- Help integrate machine learning and advanced analytics outputs into business processes.
- Create clear documentation for code, workflows, data processes, and analytical outputs.
- Build reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate insight clearly to business users.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience across Data Analytics, Data Science, IT, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong experience with Python.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with data preparation, validation, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience creating dashboards and visualisations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to manage changing project priorities.
