Venesky-Brown s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of 400/day (Outside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.Responsibilities:- Define the data quality metrics and standards that need to be implemented in the data quality services.- Provide feedback on how data retention rules should be applied to meet business and compliance requirements.- Validate the output of the data quality services to ensure it meets organizational needs.- Offer insights into the data cleaning process to ensure it aligns with analytical use cases.- Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and technical teams for data-related requirements.- Support the design and validation of dashboards and reports using the new data warehouse.Essential Skills:- Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.- 3+ years of experience in data analysis and quality assurance.- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue).- Experience with data quality and data governance tools.- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.Desirable Skills:- Experience with cloud data warehouses and ETL processes.- Knowledge of compliance frameworks related to data retention and privacy.- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
