Summary: The role of Data Analyst involves working for a leading global IT services supplier, primarily based in London or Edinburgh, UK. This hybrid position allows for remote work with two days required in the office each week. The contract is temporary, lasting over six months, and requires immediate availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and validate large, complex datasets across multiple systems
  • Write SQL queries to extract, reconcile, and interrogate data
  • Translate business requirements into clear data and functional specifications
  • Support data mapping, lineage, and target-state design
  • Design and execute test scenarios and data validation checks
  • Facilitate UAT and support implementation activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology

Key Skills:

  • Strong data analysis skills with hands-on experience working with complex datasets
  • Solid SQL capability (data extraction, transformation, validation)
  • Experience delivering analysis within a data or technology environment
  • Ability to manage and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders

Data Analyst

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Data Analyst to be based at their client's offices in London/Edinburgh, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London/Edinburgh office 2 days per week .

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and validate large, complex datasets across multiple systems
  • Write SQL queries to extract, reconcile, and interrogate data
  • Translate business requirements into clear data and functional specifications
  • Support data mapping, lineage, and target-state design
  • Design and execute test scenarios and data validation checks
  • Facilitate UAT and support implementation activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology

Key Requirements

  • Strong data analysis skills with hands-on experience working with complex datasets
  • Solid SQL capability (data extraction, transformation, validation)
  • Experience delivering analysis within a data or technology environment
  • Ability to manage and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders

Highly desirable:

  • Experience in Liquidity, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as LCR, PRA110, DILAA/SOC, ALMM
  • Understanding of data modelling, mapping, and data quality controls
  • Exposure to AI/advanced analytics techniques (eg data-driven automation, machine learning, or AI-enabled insights)
