Summary: The Data Analyst role is a 9-month fixed-term contract based in Birmingham, offering a salary of £50,000. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main contact for all reporting and analytics requests
- Design and maintain data warehouses and reporting structures
- Deliver insights using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query
- Build and manage semantic data models for consistency across the business
- Create and implement Power Apps to streamline processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and define reporting requirements
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security in line with best practices
- Document systems and processes thoroughly
- Investigate and resolve recurring data issues or reporting problems
- Liaise with 3rd party providers to support business systems
- Manage multiple tasks, balancing business-as-usual duties with project work
Key Skills:
- Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Proven track record with Power BI and Power Apps
- Confident working with third-party vendors and internal teams
- Skilled in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Copilot and Jet Reporting (desirable)
- Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) (desirable)
- A clear and confident communicator
