Summary: The Data Analyst role in the Energy/Utilities domain focuses on creating and maintaining interactive visualizations through data analysis and reporting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain rich, interactive visualisations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
  • Proactively analyse data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, aligned to the overall goals of the OCC, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement.
  • Deliver daily, weekly, monthly reporting and ad-hoc insights ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Create, refine and maintain tracking models and impact forecasts.
  • Contribute to and participate in key business engagement activities required to support tracking of operational status and support decision-making and governance.
  • Support collaboration with business and MHHS Programme stakeholders including organising meetings and workshops, risk and issue management, status reporting and planning.
  • Identify, manage and maintain OCC risks and issues including where they may have impacts wider than on the project and accurately report the status of activities to the OCC Lead.

Key Skills:

  • Three or more years of experience as a data analyst.
  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to create visually appealing, insightful reports and presentations.
  • Strong Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
  • Good knowledge and experience of working within the energy sector (desirable but not essential).
  • Power BI experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience of working with ServiceNow data and reporting (desirable but not essential).
