This is a hands-on Data Analyst opportunity for someone who enjoys working with real-world operational data, getting to the heart of business challenges and using analysis to make a tangible difference. You’ll work across the business to improve visibility of performance, utilisation, efficiency and compliance, delivering high-quality reporting and analysis that supports better decision-making.

As a Data Analyst, you’ll work with data from multiple sources, ensuring it is accurate, reliable and presented in a way that is meaningful to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to work with Power BI within the Microsoft Fabric environment, alongside T-SQL, Python and advanced Excel, while collaborating closely with senior analysts and teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean and organise large datasets from multiple sources, maintaining a high level of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities, translating findings into practical and actionable insights.
  • Develop engaging reports and dashboards using Power BI within the Microsoft Fabric framework.
  • Use T-SQL and/or Python to extract, manipulate and prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  • Work closely with senior analysts and stakeholders across different departments to understand business requirements and solve operational challenges.
  • Document analytical processes, workflows and procedures to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, efficiency and ways of working.
  • Apply a meticulous approach to data validation, analysis and reporting.
  • Ask the right questions of the data and challenge assumptions to maximise the value of business information.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly through written reports, presentations and stakeholder discussions.
  • Use advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and basic macros, to support data analysis and organisation.

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Experience in data visualisation, using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools, and/or experience with T-SQL querying or Python for data manipulation.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards or visualisations that communicate information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and basic macros.
  • Experience working with large or multiple datasets and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
