Damp and Mould Surveyor

Summary: The Damp and Mould Surveyor role involves conducting surveys to investigate damp, mould, and related issues in properties across Newham. Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate reports of damp, mould, condensation, and leaks.
• Carry out property inspections and assess housing conditions.
• Identify the root causes of damp and mould issues.
• Raise repair orders and monitor contractor performance.
• Ensure repairs are completed within target timescales.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and inspection notes.
• Support compliance with Awaab’s Law and housing regulations.
• Prioritise vulnerable tenants and high-risk cases.
• Liaise with residents, contractors, surveyors, and housing teams.
• Provide tenants with advice on reducing condensation and mould.
• Respond professionally to complaints and resident enquiries.
• Monitor health and safety risks within occupied properties.
