Summary: The D365 Transition Manager role involves leading the testing and cut-over phases of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation for a leading organization in South Wales. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a focus on ensuring a smooth migration from legacy systems to D365. The role requires full-time office presence as needed and offers a salary of up to £60,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a detailed plan for delivering testing cycles, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing, to ensure the system meets readiness criteria and delivers required business functionality.
  • Identify and manage defects by logging, prioritising, and tracking issues through Azure DevOps (ADO), collaborating closely with the project team and relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution and effective risk management.
  • Produce and maintain clear, comprehensive testing documentation in Azure DevOps including test plans, test cases, and test scripts that aligns with business requirements and ensures full traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Foster strong alignment between business stakeholders and the project team by offering expert advice and guidance, ensuring all testing activities remain in step with project objectives and timelines.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in testing and cut-over processes.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps for defect management and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Robert Half Technology are currently working with a leading organisation based in South Wales that is embarking on a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) implementation. They're looking for an experienced D365 Transition Manager to lead the testing and cut-over phases, ensuring a smooth and successful migration from Legacy systems to D365.

The role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract paying up to £60,000 per annum with potential for contract extensions.

The role is Full time Monday to Friday and you will be required to be in the office as and when required in South Wales.

The D365 Transition Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of testing for the Dynamics project at as well as overseeing the cut-over process, including data migration and system configuration.
