Summary: The D365 Finance & Operations/Power Platform Analyst role focuses on enhancing the internal D365 platform capabilities by bridging the gap between business and IT. The analyst will take ownership of requirements, support delivery, and drive adoption of standard functionalities and automation. This position aims to reduce bottlenecks and improve the quality of changes while allowing senior leads to concentrate on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a functional analyst across D365 Finance & Operations (Finance-first focus)
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, and IT to:
- Gather and clarify requirements
- Assess business impact
- Recommend standard D365 solutions over customisation
- Support build cycles:
- Ticket refinement
- Functional validation
- Test coordination
- Help drive platform growth and adoption:
- Feature enablement (Feature Management, Release Waves)
- Process improvements
- Light documentation and user guidance
- Collaborate on Power Platform solutions:
- Power Automate (approvals, notifications, reporting flows)
- Power Apps (simple business apps, forms, trackers)
- Be a calm, organised presence in a complex, global environment
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience with D365 Finance & Operations (Finance modules strongly preferred: AP, AR, GL, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets)
- Strong functional analysis skills - can translate business needs into system behaviour
- Experience working in build/release cycles
- Confident communicator with non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable juggling multiple workstreams without panic
- Exposure to Power Platform (especially Power Automate)
- Experience in a global/multi-entity environment
- Prior involvement in ERP upgrades or transformations
- Familiarity with testing tools, structured UAT, or CAB-style governance
