Summary: The D365 CRM Technical Consultant role involves leading the technical design and development of a new CRM system using Microsoft Dynamics 365. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to create customized solutions across Sales, Customer Service, and Market Insights. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to translate business needs into effective technical designs. The role is hybrid, allowing for predominantly homeworking with occasional office visits in Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE solutions focused on Sales, Customer Service, and Market Insights.
  • Customising and configuring Dynamics 365 CE using Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
  • Developing technical specifications and documentation based on business requirements and stakeholder input.
  • Building and extending workflows, plugins, custom APIs, and scripts to support complex business processes.
  • Integrating D365 CE with third-party systems using Azure services, custom connectors, or APIs.
  • Supporting the setup of user roles and managing security access within the CRM system.
  • Collaborating with project teams, Business Analysts, and key stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business needs.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues, supporting testing, and contributing to data migration and system optimisation activities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Technical Consultant working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of D365 Sales and Customer Service modules, with a strong grasp of CRM business processes.
  • Proficiency in Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Strong technical skills in JavaScript, C#, .NET, and experience creating custom APIs, plug-ins, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and techniques using Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, or similar services.
  • A clear understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and compliance best practices within CRM systems.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence, engage and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. MB-210, MB-230, PL-200) are desirable.
