Summary: A leading NGO is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant with existing SC clearance to support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This role is crucial for ensuring financial and operational excellence during a significant international business transformation. The position is based in London and involves various financial reporting and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, particularly within international or non-profit sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of budgets and financial reports.
- Assisting with internal and external financial reporting in line with policies and international regulations.
- Contributing to the formulation of budgets and forecasts, and performing cost-benefit and variance analyses.
- Monitoring fund status, obligations, and expenditures through regular reporting and data analysis.
- Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Managing internal financial documentation flows, archives, and compliance procedures, aligned with IPSAS standards and risk management protocols.
- Providing administrative support including staff mission planning, hospitality requests, and travel coordination.
- Maintaining financial databases and automated systems to track budget activity, team workflows, and financial operations.
- Assisting in reviewing financial requests for completeness and authorising payments.
- Supporting Finance Committee briefings and internal reviews with prepared financial insights and reports.
- Carrying out any other related duties as requested by the Finance Officer or Financial Controller.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a finance or budget-related role, preferably within an international, non-profit, or public sector environment.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budget planning, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using financial systems and databases (knowledge of D365 F&O is a plus).
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
- Experience supporting or working within large-scale ERP transformation projects (especially D365 F&O) is desirable.
- Knowledge of financial procedures within NGOs or international organisations.
- Experience in travel and logistics coordination for staff.

Based in London, the role supports the Office of the Financial Controller (OFC) and plays a crucial part in ensuring financial and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
