Summary: The Cyber Vulnerability Management Analyst role at FirstBank UK is a fixed-term contract for 18 months, focusing on managing and remediating identified cyber vulnerabilities. The position involves collaboration with third-party vendors and requires daily assessments of vulnerabilities, prioritization, and remediation within established timelines. The role also includes preparing reports for stakeholders and supporting the IT Service desk as needed. This hybrid position requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies and IT security principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the IT & Cyber Security Manager in planning and delivering business strategy.
  • Manage remediation work related to identified vulnerabilities, including patch testing and implementation.
  • Perform daily assessments of vulnerabilities from internal and external scans.
  • Evaluate, risk assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation within established SLAs.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and SMEs on remediation processes.
  • Prepare MI/Dashboard reports for stakeholders.
  • Alleviate workload of the IT Service desk when required.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • Cyber Security Professional Qualifications/Certifications.
  • Understanding of IT Security principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Experience with patch management applications and EDR/XDR systems.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable One, Qualys).
  • Knowledge of vulnerability scoring systems (CVSS/CMSS).
  • Incident/Response & Forensic Management Skills.
  • IT Technical Admin Support for Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Microsoft Windows support and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Mac administration support.
  • Good understanding of Windows and Linux patching.
