Summary: The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst role involves analyzing and reporting on cyber threats, utilizing various intelligence frameworks and tools. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment. Candidates must hold UKSV DV clearance and have experience in intelligence roles. This is a 12-month contract with a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize cyber threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Intelligence Cycle.
  • Conduct research using open-source and commercial methods, threat intelligence platforms, and security tools.
  • Apply the intelligence lifecycle in practical scenarios.
  • Analyze patterns and produce evidence-based judgments.
  • Research, analyze, and report on cyber threats and security issues.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences and write technical reports.
  • Collaborate in an operational environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Develop productive relationships with stakeholders across Government and industry.

Essential

  • Familiarity with cyber threat frameworks - for example, MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, and the Intelligence Cycle
  • Experience using open-source and commercial research methods, threat intelligence platforms or security tooling.
  • Experience of working in an intelligence role, with practical application of the intelligence lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable analytical capability, including the ability to identify patterns and produce balanced, evidenced judgements.
  • Experience researching, analysing and reporting on cyber threats or related security issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills with experience presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences and writing technical, operational and strategic cyber threat Intelligence reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an operational environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to, and experience with, developing productive and trusting relationships with individuals across Government and industry.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a cyber security, security operations, or incident response environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or training in intelligence analysis or cyber security.
  • The resilience to manage multiple projects concurrently, with the ability to research, benchmark, scope, design, implement and evaluate project delivery to tight deadlines;
