Summary: The Cybersecurity Specialist (AWS Bedrock) role involves joining the AI & Data Security team to support a strategic AI Security Programme. The position is hands-on and advisory, focusing on securing modern applications and AI platforms while enabling safe adoption of AI technologies. The specialist will act as a subject matter expert in application security, identity and access management, and AI security patterns, collaborating across teams to define standards and embed security-by-design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver application security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Design and implement secure architecture patterns for AI and application platforms.
- Provide hands-on security guidance for AI technologies including AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft 365, and other foundation model providers.
- Define and advise on model security, deployment patterns, guardrails, observability, evaluation techniques, and safe operationalisation of AI solutions.
- Translate platform-specific risks, limitations, and best practices into actionable engineering standards and governance controls.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, AI, and platform teams to embed security best practices across the delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct regular security audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
- Support and influence key architectural and security decisions across multiple teams.
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance on application and AI security standards.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, AI risks, and industry trends, continuously improving security posture.
