Summary: The Cyber Security Solution Architect will engage in a short-term contract to ensure the technical soundness and cyber security of a developing solution. They will identify gaps and assist in finding solutions while ensuring rigorous testing before handover. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders and a strong understanding of cyber security frameworks and methodologies. The position is based in London, requiring one day per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the solution in development is technically sound and cyber secure.
  • Identify gaps or concerns and assist the team in finding appropriate solutions.
  • Plan and undertake testing with sufficient rigor.
  • Ensure the solution is fit for purpose before handover.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture methodologies (eg TOGAF).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based IT technologies, particularly Azure, SharePoint, SQL.
  • Knowledge of key building blocks supporting technology implementations including networks, infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.
  • Cyber Security Qualification such as CISSP or CISM.
  • Knowledge and experience of Cyber Essentials Plus and PCI-DSS.
  • Understanding of the GDPR regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of IT Security Tools (SIEM, intrusion prevention systems, data loss prevention, anti-phishing, anti-virus, anti-malware, endpoint detection and response).
  • Experience in designing pragmatic solutions to solve real-world problems.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering quality systems applications.
  • Track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Full understanding and practical experience of the Software Development Lifecycle and project management methodologies (Prince2, Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience of delivering tangible IT improvements that deliver business value.
  • Diagramming techniques (swim lanes, flow charts, process maps, and system diagrams).
  • Experience of working with large suppliers to ensure value for money and outstanding service.
  • Experience of translating technical concepts for stakeholder understanding.
  • Experience of guiding effective decision-making and resolving technical disputes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across organisational and technical boundaries.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and take appropriate actions.

Cyber Security Solution Architect

3 month contract - £600 per day (inside IR35) - 1 day per week from London office

A Solutions and Cyber Security Architect is required for a short-term engagement between February and April 2026. The Cyber Security Solution Architect will play an important role, ensuring that the solution in development is technically sound and cyber secure, and fits with target architecture. They will identify any gaps or concerns and assist the team and development partner in finding appropriate solutions. They will ensure that testing is planned and undertaken with sufficient rigour, and that the solution is fit for purpose before it is handed over.

Key skills required for the Cyber Security Solution Architect:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent experience/qualifications.
