Summary: The Cyber Security Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex projects within an energy company focused on cyber regulatory compliance. The role requires expertise in NIS and/or CAF, with a strong emphasis on managing resources, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. The position is predominantly remote, with occasional onsite requirements in Glasgow for workshops and meetings. The contract duration is expected to be over six months, with a daily rate of £600.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all projects align to High Level EP plans and project reference numbers
  • Ensure that all projects consider the appropriate scope and stakeholders
  • Ensure realistic project plans are in place and maintained with risk-based contingency planning
  • Ensure that requirements consider the Ofgem Guidance issued within the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
  • Ensure resources are committed and lead the Matrix team to meet agreed timescales
  • Monitor costs, timescales, resourcing, and notify Programme Manager on any deviation from agreed tolerances
  • Ensure requirements aligned to business outcome of project, working closely with stakeholders and analysts
  • Ensure all projects follow the stage gate process and produce the appropriate artefacts
  • Ensure any changes to the scope of a project is appropriately managed and approved
  • Ensure all projects OPS Boards are updated to facilitate Portfolio KPI reporting
  • Tracking project progress plans, reporting and RAID
  • Management of stakeholder expectations on delivery
  • Communicate and collaborate with business teams to ensure success
  • Use escalation channels to remove blockers in a timely manner
  • Plan and manage governance forums to provide status updates
  • Ensure appropriate Business Readiness activity has taken place
  • Build and maintain strong and professional relationships internal and external
  • Working with peers to make best use of available resources
  • Champion and adhere to project governance process and procedures
  • Provide an in-depth knowledge of projects, their scope, current status and risks to delivery

Key Skills:

  • Experience delivering projects within the same or similar industry
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering challenging systems changes
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering challenging business change projects
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes and systems development methods
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies risks and issues
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts within project teams
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and track project timelines using appropriate tools
  • Ability to adhere to Programme Governance and reporting processes
  • Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Qualification APM/PMI/Prince II
