Summary: The Cyber Security Project Manager will oversee and guide a project team to ensure successful project outcomes within specified time, cost, and quality parameters. This role involves significant interaction with internal stakeholders to implement innovative technology aimed at reducing cyber risks. The Project Manager will also ensure compliance with cyber standards and manage project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The position is predominantly remote with occasional in-office requirements in Warwick.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead, control, and support the project team toward successful project outcomes.
  • Deliver agreed projects from initiation to completion while adhering to Cyber standards and procedures.
  • Interact significantly with internal design stakeholders for technology delivery.
  • Maintain documentation for compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and Security to ensure adherence to relevant processes.
  • Integrate the project team and ensure understanding of the Delivery Process.
  • Work with the Programme Management Team to establish project direction and integrity.
  • Provide leadership to the project team, supporting and motivating members.
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand project objectives and scope.
  • Estimate and monitor project tasks, costs, and resources for successful completion.
  • Manage deviations from agreed tolerances and comply with governance procedures.
  • Implement effective change control procedures for project scope changes.
  • Manage the production of project deliverables and ensure review processes are in place.
  • Prepare and maintain project plans and provide regular reports to the Programme Board.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (RAID).
  • Ensure formal project closure and documentation of lessons learned.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Cyber technology.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Experience with Breach Attack Scenarios and Post Quantum Cryptography (nice-to-have).
  • Experience managing third-party work related to Hardening Implementation Strategy and Network Architecture.

Cyber Security Project Manager

Purpose:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for managing, leading, controlling, and supporting the project team toward a successful project outcome (one that achieves the stated benefits for the project) within the appropriate time, cost and quality criteria.
  • Adhering to all Cyber standards and procedures as determined by the Steering Committee and Programme Board, the Project Manager delivers the agreed project/s from initiation to completion.
  • Significant interaction with internal design stakeholder for the delivery of 'first of its kind' technology to reduce cyber risk.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintaining documentation as required to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
  • Work with IT and Security as required to deliver all relevant IT components and any IT relevant processes are adhered to
  • Ensure the Project team are integrated and fully understand the Delivery Process within the Cyber Programme
  • Work with the Programme Management Team to develop and agree the overall direction and integrity of the project
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated and developing their skills and experience
  • Ensure all stakeholders including client, business management, users, staff, operational and engineers, IT, Security (as required) fully understand the objectives and scope of the project and are clear in their expectations of the project
  • Effectively estimate and monitor project tasks, costs, time scales, resource requirements and finances for the successful completion of the project.
  • Appropriate intervention and management where these deviate from agreed tolerances complying with governance, business sanctioning authorities and finance procedures as required
  • Management of effective change control procedures ensuring formal approval for any changes to the approved scope and documented
  • Manage the production of the required deliverables of the project and ensuring appropriate review process is in place and approvals are obtained
  • Prepare and maintain project, stage, exception and quality plans and track activities against these plans. Provide regular and accurate reports to the Programme Board as required
  • Identify, assess and manage the risks, assumptions, issues and decisions (RAID) to the success of the project, including developing effective mitigation where required
  • Ensure the project is formally closed and documented. Lessons learnt are captured and the projects status and reports are updated

Knowledge and experience:

  • A good extensive knowledge of Cyber technology
  • Has proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
  • A good track record of delivering complex projects
  • Projects to cover Breach Attack Scenarios and Post Quantum Cryptography (nice-to-have)
  • Experience managing a third party delivering the work; Hardening Implementation Strategy and Network Architecture
