Summary: The Cyber Security Project Manager will play a crucial role in delivering projects that adhere to time, cost, and quality standards within the energy sector. This position involves close collaboration with business sponsors and stakeholders to navigate regulatory compliance and ensure effective project management. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage matrix teams and engage stakeholders effectively. The position is contract-based for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects to expected outcomes and benefits within agreed timelines and budgets, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Manage and motivate Matrix teams, driving high performance and project excellence.
  • Oversee project budgets, providing governance and ensuring financial processes are adhered to.
  • Communicate progress and obstacles effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all projects comply with High-Level EP plans and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain realistic project plans, incorporating risk-based contingency measures.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring project requirements align with business outcomes.
  • Facilitate governance forums, tracking project progress and reporting on key performance indicators.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in project management within the energy sector or a related industry.
  • Strong background in managing complex business change projects, demonstrating structure and clarity.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development, and organisational change.
  • Ability to proactively manage project scope, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Proficient in project planning tools, particularly MS Project.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders in a Matrix environment.
  • Relevant qualifications (APM/PMI/Prince II) are beneficial.
