Summary: The Cyber Security Lead role involves overseeing cyber security strategies and risk management for the DCMS on a 6-month contract basis. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to establish and implement cyber security policies and processes. The role is hybrid, based in either Manchester or London, and requires active SC Clearance. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Digital, Data and Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a cyber security strategy for the organisation.
- Design a framework for cyber security standards, aiming for Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
- Implement and embed cyber security policies and processes.
- Conduct risk management activities within established governance structures.
- Lead analysis of business-supporting security needs.
- Perform cyber security risk assessments and tailored threat assessments.
- Advise stakeholders on mitigating identified risks using security capabilities and standards.
Key Skills:
- Active SC Clearance.
- Experience in creating cyber security strategy, policy, and processes.
- Knowledge of Information Security standards and legislation.
- Experience with various Information Security matters.
- Public Sector experience.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
