Summary: The role of Cyber Security Instructor at Kaplan involves developing and delivering cybersecurity training programs tailored to various learner profiles. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver cybersecurity training programs (online and/or in-person).
- Teach core topics such as network security, ethical hacking, risk management, incident response, cryptography, and compliance.
- Prepare course materials, hands-on labs, case studies, quizzes, and assessments.
- Customize content to suit the learner’s profile (corporate employees, university students, etc.).
- Stay updated with current threats, tools, and techniques in the cybersecurity landscape.
- Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to learners when needed.
- Evaluate learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and content developers to maintain training quality.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of practical experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Prior experience in training, teaching, or public speaking.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and SIEM systems.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent presentation skills – written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel in GCC region.
